Full Clause Conversion Service

This product listing provides an overview of what can be covered with a day of remote support, spent converting an existing management system into our format.

Seven hours of consultant time: your current documentation reviewed, everything worth keeping carried across, and the rest rewritten around your business rather than around the clauses of a standard.

Any number of standards in one integrated system, a named consultant, and clause correlation documents supplied so an assessor can still find everything.

To purchase go to Remote Support - Project, purchase 1 day (or more) of support and we will be in touch to discuss and plan your project.

These are the ones people are most nervous about handing over, because they have usually paid a lot of money for the system they are trying to get rid of. When converted the good work you have done is not thrown away, it's just moved over.

Document Preparation
Prefer to Do It Yourself?

Every document used on this service is on the shelf. Take the ISO toolkit for your standards and do the work in your own time, and Document Preparation will put your company name and logo on the whole set.

Full Clause Conversion Service

If your management system is built around the clauses of an ISO standard, you already know what is wrong with it. Nobody reads it, nothing is where anyone would look for it, and the only time it gets opened is the week before an audit.

A day of our remote support converts it. We take your existing documentation, review it properly, carry across everything that reflects how you actually work, and rebuild it around your business processes instead of around a clause list. Any number of standards can go into the one integrated system.

What You Get

  • A full review of your existing management system - read through rather than skimmed, so the arrangements you already have that work are identified before anything is replaced
  • Your content carried across - procedures, forms and records that reflect real practice stay, in your own words, rather than being swapped for generic wording
  • A rebuilt system based on the IMS1 manual - a plain overview of how your business is run, organised the way your business is organised and not the way a standard is numbered
  • All your standards in one integrated system - one manual, one set of registers and one set of forms covering every standard you hold, instead of a separate stack per standard
  • Clause correlation documents - supplied alongside the system so an assessor can trace any clause of any standard straight to where it is dealt with, which is the only thing the clause structure was ever doing for you
  • Branded throughout - your company name and logo on the whole set, with document numbering, properties and the update log started
  • Additional standards added at the same time - if you are converting anyway, bringing another standard in costs you almost nothing extra in effort
  • A named consultant - direct access by email, telephone or the online support system while the work is running

The Main Problems With Clause-Based Management Systems

  • Horrible to read - they are based on an abstract ISO standard and not on your business, and invariably include lots of unnecessary jargon and gobbledegook
  • Difficult to follow - the structure of management standards covers a number of common requirements, so following the clauses of each standard leads to a lot of repetition and duplication
  • Horrible to use - there is so much repetition and ISO-clause focus that important things that should be followed are either missed entirely or sit in some obscure location that makes no sense
  • Self-serving nonsense - some ISO-clause-based systems are overly complicated with a heavy burden of ongoing maintenance, and become a self-serving administrative process that adds considerable overhead without any real benefit
  • Expensive and complicated - ISO certification does not need elaborate management systems, and the simpler the better. Some of the more expensive toolkit packages appear to justify the expense by supplying very complicated systems built from a large number of interconnected documents and unnecessary time consuming procedures based on the standards rather than on actual business processes

If you have already spent a lot of time or money on one of these and are looking for a way out of the admin, this is the way out.

How Much One Day Covers

A conversion of a typical single site system, for most organisations. We do not cap the number of documents or the number of standards, because the count is rarely what decides how long a job takes. A wide scope, several sites, or a system that has been added to by three different people over ten years will take longer than a tidy one. The more context and information you give us, the better what we prepare will be. We work through as much as the time allows, in the order that matters most to you.

How the Work Gets Done

We use our own AI tooling to do the mechanical part of the conversion, and a consultant checks the output before it reaches you. It is the reason a day of support now converts a whole system rather than part of one, at the same price it always was.

The tooling handles the volume - reading through everything you send, mapping what you have against what the new structure needs, pulling your own wording across into the right places, branding the set, renumbering it and building the clause correlation. That work used to eat most of a consultant's day and none of it needed a consultant's judgement.

The judgement stays with the consultant: what in your old system is worth keeping, what was only ever there to satisfy a clause, where your real process differs from what your old documents claim, and whether the finished system describes a business an assessor would recognise.

Why a Day Goes This Far

Anyone can rent the same AI we use. What they cannot rent is what we point it at.

Behind this service is a document library built over 25 years - manuals, procedures, policies, registers, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, audit checklists and forms, covering every standard we work to and most situations a management system runs into. Each one has been through real audits, and corrected where an assessor pushed back. That is the part that took 25 years, and it is the part that cannot be generated.

Our tooling applies that library to your business. A general purpose AI, pointed at the same job, has nothing to apply, so it writes something that reads well and describes a company that does not exist.

What We Need From You

  • Your existing management system documentation, in whatever state it is in
  • Your company details, registration number and trading address
  • Your company logo
  • Which standards you currently hold and which you want the new system to cover
  • Anything in the current system you know is not being followed, so we do not carry it across
  • Who holds which responsibility

If you want to talk through the options for transitioning your system before committing to anything, contact us and we will go through it with you.

Other Things Remote Support Covers

A support day does not have to be spent on a conversion. The same day can be pointed at any one of these instead, and it is the same purchase either way:

A day can also go on things that are not document preparation at all - training, internal audits, a gap analysis, or simply working through a problem on a call. Remote Support - Project is the same day bought without a job attached to it.

Every one of these services is listed on the ISO consultancy support page, along with how a support day works and what is covered by a subscription.
