What ISO consultancy support covers
Every service below is the same block of consultant time applied to a different job. Each one has its own page explaining what you send us, what we do with it and what comes back.
- Enhanced IMS setup - a full management system built from the toolkit files, branded and populated with your own information.
- IMS manual and registers preparation - the manual written around your scope, with the supporting registers completed.
- Risk assessment reformatting and hazard register - your existing assessments rewritten into the current format and the hazard register built from them.
- COSHH assessment preparation - COSHH assessments written from the safety data sheets you supply.
- Legal register preparation - a legal register built around what you actually do, with the compliance obligations set out.
- Environmental registers and aspects assessment - environmental aspects and impacts assessed and the ISO 14001 registers completed.
- Information security risk and treatment plan - the ISO 27001 risk assessment, treatment plan and Statement of Applicability prepared.
- Business risk assessment preparation - organisational risks and opportunities assessed and recorded in the format assessors look for.
- Company forms, policies and HR reset - your forms, policies and staff handbook brought into one current, consistent set.
- Internal audit training and support - internal audits carried out with you, and your own auditors trained while it happens.
- Constructionline, SSIP and CAS support - the documents and evidence prepared for a Constructionline, SSIP or CAS application.
- Full clause conversion - an existing management system converted to the current clause structure of the standard.
All twelve sit together in remote ISO support and document preparation if you would rather browse them.
How it works
Buy the time, send us what you have, and a consultant does the work. What comes back are finished Word and Excel files, editable, in your own branding and yours to keep. There is no software to log into and nothing stays locked to us.
Where the job needs your input, we ask for it in one go rather than in a drip of emails. The mechanics of remote delivery - how the time is allocated, how files move, who you deal with - are set out on our remote ISO consultancy page.
What a day of support covers
A day is a fixed quantity of consultant time. It is not a fixed quantity of output, and it is not measured in documents.
How far a day goes depends mostly on what you are able to hand over at the start. The more complete the information you supply - your scope, your existing files, your safety data sheets, whatever the job needs - the further the time goes and the less of it is spent chasing. If a job turns out to need more than a day, more time can be bought when you get there.
Where support is needed on an ongoing basis rather than as a one-off, remote support on a monthly retainer puts a named consultant on your account instead.
Who does the work
The work is done by working consultants, not by a writing service. They set up and maintain management systems for a living, they know how each standard is assessed in practice, and they work from the alphaZ document library - the same set of documents built and refined over twenty five years of use in real companies.
What you get back is what we would use ourselves. That is the whole reason the library and the consultancy sit on the same site.
Support included with a subscription
An alphaZ subscription and a download pass both include support for using the documents. Which template to use, how a particular register works, a file that will not open, a question about how a form is meant to be filled in - that is support for the library, and it is included.
Implementation advice, reviews of documents you have completed, developing a system and preparing for an audit are consultancy. Those need purchased time. It is a distinction worth knowing before you buy, because it is the difference between the two things on this page.
Prefer to do it yourself?
Not every project needs someone else to do the work. If you would rather run it yourself, these are the alternatives.

The document library itself - forms, policies, procedures, registers and complete toolkits, in editable Word and Excel, bought individually or as a set.

If you already know the job you want done, the time is bought on the Remote Support - Project page, and every one of the twelve services above is delivered from it.
If you are not sure which of them fits, or the job does not look like any of them, get in touch and tell us what you are trying to get done. We will tell you what it needs.
