Who Needs a Factory Production Control Procedure?
Steel and aluminium fabricators making structural components for CE or UKCA marking to BS EN 1090, and the Responsible Welding Coordinator, deputy and welders who carry out factory production control.
Included in the BS EN 1090 Toolkit
This procedure is part of the BS EN 1090 Toolkit.
How the Procedure Fits Together
Cutting is logged on F-Q41 Cutting Register and welding traced on F-Q48 Fabrication Job Card, with consumables issued on F-Q54 Materials Issue Log and patrol checks recorded monthly on F-Q43 Premises RWC Patrol Checklist. Completed jobs are indexed on F-Q56 Project Index Sheet and a declaration of performance is prepared on F-Q42 Declaration of Performance - EN 1090.
Using the Procedure
Edit the procedure to match your workshop, such as the standards table, storage conditions, the duties shared between the Responsible Welding Coordinator and deputy, and record retention periods. Name the person in the Controlled By field, give it top level approval and brief all fabricators and welders.
