Update Details: New addition to the alphaZ document library. ER34 Environmental Performance Register is a Microsoft Excel template for capturing activity data and converting it into greenhouse gas emissions, built to support compliance with ISO 14001:2026 clause 9.1.
ER34 Environmental Performance Register
A new Excel workbook structured around three-scope GHG accounting. The register lets an organisation log activity data (energy, fuel, water, waste, business travel) and produce a single-page dashboard showing total tCO2e, breakdown by scope and category, baseline comparison and Net Zero trajectory.
Five sheets:
- Instructions - editable reporting period dates and the lookup lists that drive the workbook's dropdowns
- Context - narrative section for documenting boundaries, consolidation approach, scope coverage, exclusions, conversion factors, reduction target and restatement policy
- Metrics - blank list for the user to add the activity metrics they want to track, with category, GHG scope, default unit and kgCO2e conversion factor
- Data Log - chronological entry of meter readings, fuel purchases and similar activity data, with category, GHG scope, unit and tCO2e auto-calculated from the Metrics sheet
- Report - single-page dashboard with the hero total tCO2e figure, breakdown tables, and four charts (Scope split, Category breakdown, Baseline vs Current, Net Zero Trajectory)
The Report sheet charts are designed to copy straight into the companion F-IMS62 Carbon Management Plan, so the annual reporting workflow stays short once the data is logged.
Built for ISO 14001:2026
The register has been built from the ground up to align with ISO 14001:2026, which strengthens the requirement for quantitative, evidence-based monitoring of environmental performance. It directly supports clause 9.1.1 (Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation) by providing the indicators, calculation methodology and reporting dashboard the standard expects, and reflects the 2026 standard's emphasis on climate change as one of the environmental conditions organisations must consider.
