In the compliance world, the term toolkit can refer to any product which provides all of the resources required to comply / meet / achieve a specific goal/target, or in this instance, an ISO standard.

Document templates included in toolkits are designed to speed-up the process of implementing and achieving said goal / standard.

Toolkits can save time and include documents which can be quickly edited to custom-fit an organisation.

Many ISO toolkits on offer however, unfortunately do not save time, as they are clause-based. This is where issues begin, clause-based ISO toolkits essentially are just written out with the clauses of the standard and details of compliance.

Example:

- 'Clause 9.2 - Internal Audit - Procedure for Internal Audit'

- 'Clause 9.3 - Management Review' - Procedure for Management Review'

This statement-response type format makes it incredibly difficult to update the system when a standard changes, as often clauses are added / removed / re-numbered from standards during periodic updates. It also makes it challenging to integrate the systems to comply with additional standards. If you want more than one standard, then you might face setting up multiple separate systems, creating an admin nightmare.

alphaZ Documents have designed ISO toolkits to be practical, logical and not-clause based. They can be effective training material and should help anyone make sense of your company – including auditors. An integrated toolkit can allow you to implement multiple standards without repeating the same sentences, content and jargon which you would typically find in a clause-based system.

We continuously update all of our single and multi-standard toolkits whenever standards change – to keep them compliant.

See our toolkits for more information.

We’ve also created short previews for each toolkit; showcasing its contents.
