Business Continuity Management Plan Template
The Business Continuity Management Plan is a structured plan for keeping the business running through a disruption and restoring services afterwards. It covers document control and an update log, the purpose and scope of the plan, critical functions, the continuity response and recovery team, internal and external communications, recovery arrangements for loss of premises, infrastructure and business-critical functions, emergency and disruptive incident management, key contacts, location information and an inventory of backup equipment and systems.
It supports ISO 22301 clause 8.4 on business continuity plans and procedures, and gives an ISO 9001, ISO 27001 or integrated management system a documented plan for responding to disruption.

Who Needs a Business Continuity Plan?
Any small or medium business that depends on its premises, IT systems, key staff or key suppliers and wants a planned route back to normal operation after a disruption. Directors, operations managers and management representatives use it to set up the plan, keep contacts current and review it at management review, and it suits ISO 22301, ISO 27001 and integrated management systems.
Included in the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Toolkit
This form is part of the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Toolkit - the plans, registers, forms and guidance for running a business continuity management system in one download - and is included in every alphaZ ISO toolkit that covers business continuity.
Pairs with the Disaster Recovery Plan
Continuity keeps you running during disruption; recovery restores you afterwards, so it pairs with the F-Q95 Disaster Recovery Plan, which sets out how premises, infrastructure and critical functions are restored after an incident.
