A blank policy template set up in the same format as the alphaZ policies, so a policy you write yourself matches the rest of the set.
This policy template is supplied in fully editable MS Word format and can be easily customised and edited. The document uses pre-defined style formatting throughout, with all text in Calibri font for improved readability.
The following document labelling is included in the footer:
- Policy number and title
- Information-classification
- Version
- Page number / total pages

Blank Policy Template
A blank MS Word policy template in the alphaZ policy format, for writing a policy that is not in the alphaZ range or for moving an existing policy into the same layout as the rest of your set.
It is laid out as an example, with the title line, an opening policy statement, a numbered section heading, a line of body text, a bullet point, and the Approved By and Date Approved fields at the end.
What the Blank Policy Template Includes
- Title - the policy number and title, in the same style as every alphaZ policy
- Policy statement - an opening "It is our policy..." line to replace with your own statement
- Numbered sections - an example numbered section heading, set up as a heading style so sections stay consistent
- Body text and bullets - the body text and bullet list styles used across the policy set
- Approval - Approved By and Date Approved fields
- Footer - policy number and title, information classification, version and page numbers

Using the Blank Template
- Replace P-0 - Policy Title with your own policy number and title, in the body and in the footer
- Replace the opening line with your policy statement
- Add numbered sections using the heading style, with body text and bullets under each
- Check the information classification in the footer suits the policy
- Complete the Approved By and Date Approved fields once the policy is approved
